Get Rich Quick Scams do work…. for the Scammers
Every day, thousands of people turn over a new leaf and decide to start a home-based business. One major downside to this process is the unfortunate abundance of work-at-home scams, cleverly disguised as legitimate home-based business opportunities. You can spend hours on end trying to read reviews on the various “opportunities”. Many of those are scams as well. I have posted before in Easy Money how I fell victim to one of these scams as well. I suppose I should be happy it was not my 37th time. Here are 5 tips to avoid the proliferation and lure of these scams.

Okay so I didn’t enter the contest until days after it started but since I was new to My Blog Log myself I was spending time, perhaps too much of it setting it up, cropping pictures and finding friends. I was clueless just days ago and not I’m only confused. I entered and checked the standing just for kicks and there I was in 50 th place , now Ive slipped to 65th. I see where some others are giving away cash and other prizes to join their community. I’m only going to ask that you do and provide me a with a cost free moment of pleasure. You can join here
The Worlds Greatest Natural Resource, WAHM’s
I would like to take some time to honor those mothers who have decided to work from home. The pressures and finances in this world make it difficult for a family to survive on one income. The sacrifices are many.
Twenty-five years ago my first son was born. My wife and I were overwhelmed as most new parents are. We had set a course for our lives that would include hard work and commitment. As the days for our new child’s birth approached we discussed our plans. She would be off work from her administrative assistant job at a poultry distribution facility.
We would carry on with our son in a day care center and all would be right with the world. Then it happened. The moment the nurse laid our 9lb bundle of joy on her chest everything changed.
WordPress Plug-Ins out to Kill me

I have never claimed to be an expert with Word Press and I freely admit my ineptitude when it comes to making plug-ins work properly. I decided to install a Top Commentators Widget. I thought, okay no problem and did so, until I determined on IE 7 my page looked like a 1st Graders art class. I just finished installing the plug-in again for the 18th time or so it seems. After much aggravation and self inflicted anxiety I finally got the Tops Commentator widget to work with this theme. For now it will be reset monthly but that could change. It is set to allow links to your site and is my way of saying thanks for posting your comments. This simple project took me a little over 2 hours over 2 days. The new book that was just published Word Press for Dummies needs to have a follow-up, called Word Press for Don.
Writing Content in your own Unique Voice
Often times some friends or business associates that know me personally will see me and mention that they read my latest post. Sometimes complimentary, sometimes critical, but they always say that as they were reading the thought entered their mind, “that’s sounds just like Don”. I choose to take that as a compliment. Why?

Fear of Failure and Home Based Business
Perhaps the biggest obstacle you will face in starting your home based business is yourself. I interviewed 5 people for this post.
Each possess unique knowledge, skills and abilities. Each of them could be successful in business. It is likely none of them will. Why? Because of fear. The common denominator with these potential profiteers is fear. Why Home Businesses Fail
At one time or another, we’ve all fantasized about creating our own business and being so successful that we can tell the boss or manager to “take a hike and lose the compass!” It’s exciting to consider the possibilities. But then the fears creep in. We’ve all heard stories about people who have joined a home-based opportunity full of hope and faith, only to unwind shortly thereafter and fail miserably… and lose some hard-earned cash in the meantime. And some of us have lived those stories!
Blogging Zoom New Social Network Increases Traffic
One of the smartest things I have done was to submit an article to Courtney Tuttle’s The Internet Marketers United Group Writing Project. Almost overnight my site traffic quadrupled and my article on Choosing your Attitude was picked up my several sites. So when Court started creating a buzz about his new project Blogging Zoom I had more than a passing interest.
Perhaps patterned a bit after Digg, Blogging Zoom boasts a major difference , Bloggers are not penalized for submitting their own content, in fact they are encouraged to submit all of their content. BZ allows you to add as much of your content as you want to a site that will get incredible amounts of traffic.
