I have had this post in draft form in my blog for several weeks now. When do you make money? When do we make money? I receive e-mails most every day about someone wanting to make money in sales with their blog or website, frankly it’s why I created this site and I love it. As a result the outline of this post has changed somewhat. I want to address something that seems to be a common concern, making money is sales.

Building Rapport and Relationship with your Readers
Your online home based business depends on traffic. I’m sure we agree on that. My site just had the biggest week in its history. Unique visitors increased by 300% the past week and page views over 100 % . The question is ; will they come back? It is a question all online business owners must face, and must answer. The future of your business depends on it. Once your traffic pattern begins to take shape your plan to keep them should be already in place. Online relationships can be built the same way your personal relationships can, if you are willing to invest the time in interacting with your reader investigating their interests. Knowledge of these two will allow you an opportunity to introduce your product or service.
See How Much Money I Made, It’s That Time Again
Thanksgiving and Christmas are behind us and all we have to safely negotiate is New Years. Shortly thereafter the blogosphere will be inundated with post about how much the various make money blogs earned during the month of December. Some will claim they experienced a holiday rush and sales records were set. Others will suggest the December lull was the result of a technical difficulty with their site, but somehow they managed to save the month in the last week by installing some fancy widget that boosted traffic and thus profit, and may suggest you do the same. Coming from a traditional business background where profits and bottom lines were closely guarded secrets, I am amazed. Why do blog owners post this kind of information as a matter of public record? Can you believe them? Mr Ripley made it famous to believe it or not. The short answer to that question is NO, you cant believe them.

Lead , Follow or Get Out of the Way
I am in a leadership position at my job for the US Government. No it’s not all that, I work for the Dept of Homeland Security. That is about all I can tell you, or I will be looking for another job. I work diligently on my business’s each day when not at my day job, so that perhaps I can work myself into a position to leave it on my own terms. Until then, they get everything I have for the hours that I am paid. Actually I make decent money; it’s just that my heart lies elsewhere.
Interview with Courtney Tuttle and Vic Franqui
Recently I e-mailed Courtney Tuttle to ask if I could interview him for my Making Sales Making Money readers. You see Court is somewhat of an idol of mine in the blogworld. His inclusion of a post of mine generated more back links than anything I have done thus far. Not totally un-expected, he said yes he would love to. I was in the middle of my inforpreneur series , and told him I would send him the questions soon. Meanwhile, I met Vic Franqui and Court’s partner in the wildly successful BloggingZoom. Vic recently launched his new blog Blogger Unleashed and I reviewed it last week. He has attracted over 400 RSS subscribers in 14 days. He and I had a conversation. We talked blogging, talked about the fact that until not too long ago, he lived down the street from my home in Florida. I found out he loves baseball as much as I do, and except for the fact that he is a Marlin’s fan, that’s very good. I found a very down to earth man , sincere in his wish to help bloggers become better bloggers. So I popped the question to him about an interview, he said he would love to. I asked them both some rather benign questions, but Vic seemed to get a touch wound up on question number 3, then finished with a flurry. These 2 guys are 1st rate versions of themselves. Life is a Niche , Pick One !
I suppose today articles will be posted all over the blogosphere about choosing, determining, and researching the proper niche. While the ambitions of those are similar, results, can be dramatically different. I believe in my heart of hearts many will choose about making money online, why, because they do not trust the knowledge they possess themselves. Life is a niche isn’t it? Choose one , commit to one and then begin to cultivate one. The word niche is certainly catchy and is applied to all areas our lives. I love words, so as is my custom ,I dove into defining this word, and came up with these interpretations.
WordPress or Websites
Often times I am asked by someone wanting to set up an online site as their home based business, should I use Word Press or a website? First off know this. You can make money with both. The arguments for both are valid. Start with an evaluation of your own personality. Your answer is in there.
How Bad do People Want to Make Money Online
The niche of making money online is without a doubt the most sought after niche in blogging. I have recently posted articles about making money. I have posted about creating a business. Whats the difference? I am glad you asked.
My post on Monday was about requiring initiative to make money online now. Someone really enjoyed it, Stumbled it and the momentum from that Stumble lasted until my server went down yesterday. Darn maybe that is what caused my server all the grief! Traffic for this site was at an all time high. Please don’t hear me wrong here, I am grateful.
You Need Initiative to Make Money Online Now
I was talking with a friend of mine today about starting a blog. We chatted for bit online and he decided he was going to investigate further his chosen niche. I was telling him that personally I was fearless when it came to these things. The investment is so low, and the overhead is well, in your head. Your knowledge. What he was lacking is initiative. He has a niche, he just not willing to scratch it.
Blogger Unleashed Review
One of my hopes for this site is that it becomes a beacon for the truth and hope. That quote does not come from my site, but mirrors my ambition every time I sit down at my keyboard. It comes from Victor Franqui’s new site Blogger Unleashed. No he is not new; Vic is a self proclaimed former black hatter intent on bringing his readers valued content. My goodness his about page is one of the most entertaining you will ever read, his history, his present, and his plans for the future.
