Blogging Zoom, November Traffic Report and more

It’s that time of the month when all the big blogs like to post about how much money they made in the previous month. Let’s get that out of the way for me right now. I made just under $100.00 this month, down significantly from the $300.00 plus in October, but that’s the truth and I promised early on to tell the truth.

Traffic was down a bit totaling 13066 visits, down from 15000 plus in October, but I paid for some of that traffic in October, while I tried a different tact in November. Considering my very first post appeared on September 06, 2007 I am choosing to be happy about it all. I guest posted for the first time on Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog and yes, that was significant for me.
Social networking accounted for a majority of my traffic as a few of my post were Stumbled and at least for a few moments I felt significant. Bloggging Zoom provided more free traffic and some days it was a bunch, with my tongue in cheek post about Barry Bonds and the the Big blogs being on steroids leading the way with 500 page views in about an hour. Go figure. I submitted 24 articles and 21 went hot according to the stats. I have a thought about that though that I must interject. Commenting was way down comparatively speaking. I’m beginning to think the Zoom Button and the Stumble Link are turning some into voters, and away from commenting on individual posts. I hope I’m wrong on this but it sure feels that way. Technorati rank is 57000 today and Alexa Rank 272,000. Those numbers don’t mean much except that I have noticed with the new theme by Brian Gardner, individual page view average jumped form 4 per visitor to 9-10 most days meaning more people are finding it easier to get deeper into the site. I will take that. Brian I noticed John Chow reviewed your site today, you will probably get a few more looks from that, than this link, or my mini review, but good job!

So where do we go from here
The short answer is to keep on keeping on. My passion is developing dormant entrepreneurs, introducing them to the internet as a means of starting their own Home Based Business. I firmly believe people come to the internet for information, not to spend money. I will continue to provide the kind of information that serves a purpose for those readers. Entienne Teo posted this about my blog on his site

Making Sales Making Money shows you the truth about Home Based Business Opportunities which you can grab through their blog. This is not your typical make money blog which shows you a few money making programs and leaving you to figure out what need to work on the fully maximize the use of the program. Are you ready to get your business opportunities to work for you?

That is what this site will continue to be about, providing information about how to start your business. I believe anyone can be an inforpeneur. All of us know something abut something, and if we write about it someone will want to read it.

Moving Forward with Advertising and Affiliates

I will begin the search for Sponsors this month in hopes of cracking the 100.00 mark for December. I am currently working on 3 more sites and hope to be able to introduce at least 2 of those before the months end. I have enrolled in the Blog Mastermind Mentoring Program as a trial for my readers and have found it to be worth every penny. I am actively working with Yaro on a deal for my readers. I am hopeful of working something out with him but no promises there. By the way is there a better free e-book than Blog Profits Blueprint? If there is will you please let me know in a comment?

I will continue to investigate affiliate programs with merit rater than throw everyone’s banner on my site that promises thousands of dollars in return for signing on. I have a problem. I like to sleep at night peacefully, knowing that my conscience is clear and I haven’t suggested something that doesn’t hold a real profit possibility for my readers. Nice way to say I’m a scam watcher, don’t you think? For those of you that are not subscribers, let me say this. Try it for one month, if you don’t like it, or develop a taste for it, un-subscribing has to be one of the easiest things we can do in the blogosphere. Stay the Course !

    Blogging Zoom, November Traffic Report…

Reading the title, I was expecting BZ numbers from November only. Can you put the number of visitors from BZ?

    I zoomed and commented ;)

Steve sorry about that, didn’t mean to mislead, I’ve changed the title a bit to correct and I’ll will see if I can did up some numbers, for now until Blogging Zoom I had never had an article Stumbled and now it is getting to be a regular thing, although Stumblers rarely comment in my experience, it is kind of a rush though

Better title.:D I know that you did not mean to mislead people.

Yes, it’s a rush to get the extra traffic from Stumblers.

    I don’t get many comments too(including bloggers)

Well then I ll see if I can fix that for you!

I agree that Stumblers don’t seem to comment (at all really), but my comments have gone up considerably since I’ve been involved with BloggingZoom. I’ve not gotten a LOT of people who come and comment but I have gotten a regular crowd who now come and comment on a regular basis which makes it all seem a lot more worthwhile…like someone’s actually reading what I write.

Thanks for the stats…I get a lot of motivation from reading your posts. I appreciate the sincerity in your style of writing. You hold many of the same fundamental philosophies as I do about motivation, ambition, and attitude and our own power and ability to choosing it, everyday, no matter what our particular circumstances may be.

Keep the great posts coming; I am using your site for inspiration and motivation to develop my own site, my own voice, and my own presence on-line.

Jason I agree any traffic is good traffic and if you get a few to come back all the better !

Linda , flattery will get you everywhere, hang in there gal and keep adding content , we will get you there, thanks for the kind words
