You Need Initiative to Make Money Online Now

I was talking with a friend of mine today about starting a blog. We chatted for bit online and he decided he was going to investigate further his chosen niche. I was telling him that personally I was fearless when it came to these things. The investment is so low, and the overhead is well, in your head. Your knowledge. What he was lacking is initiative. He has a niche, he just not willing to scratch it.
For the life of me I cannot understand people who weigh the risk factors in beginning their profitable home based business opportunities. I’m just not wired that way. For those of you who are considering this, “Do you want to be safe and good, or do you want to take a chance and be great?” Initiative will begin your journey. I looked for definitions and found a couple that really apply to his situation.

How many times have you had legitimate home based business opportunities presented and you felt absolutely paralyzed by your lack of initiative. In fact had you taken the first step and put a plan in motion you would have put those fears in check. Those are the same people who have the energy to shout from the rooftops, I want to make money online now, but lack the initiative to take that first step. Do you have the initiative to act?
Many who lack initiative want someone else to motivate them. I am asked often as a leader in my work, Don how you motivate people. The answer is you don’t. Motivation comes from within the individual. What I can do is find out what it is that motivates them. For many that is time off from work, vacations, weekend getaways, just about anything to get away from work. In our society the majority would probably say making money. Those same roof toppers, shouting I want to make money online now.
The time is now
Timing is important is any business plan. If you lack initiative please take heed. No one can wait until everything is perfect to act and expect to be successful. The time will never be right. You finances will never be in order. Waiting for everything to be 100% right may have consequences, because the opportunity may have passed you by. You will be left in the dust. While you think, ponder and fantasize how you make money online now, your competitors are doing it.
Have you ever heard of Alexander Graham Bell? I bet you have. How about Elisha Gray? On the morning of February 14, 1876 Bell entered the U.S. Patent office with an idea. He was the fifth person in line with his idea. He purposed himself to get it done early that morning. Gray sent his attorney who followed Bell about an hour later, applying with the same idea. Actually he filed papers that declared intent to apply. That indecision and lack of initiative cost Gray some money. He complained in court that he had come up with the idea first. You know what the judge decided. You are just as talented in some area of your life, that talent without initiative will never reach it potential. You have a choice.
You can choose to make money online now, you can choose to think about, read about how others are doing it, or you can get started. As for my buddy mentioned in the beginning of this post? He is going to read this, he is not out of work, not poor and destitute. His name has world wide acclaim in his chosen niche. People will read what he writes just because of who he is. Its likely he will spend his time today watching Tony Romo and his beloved Cowboys. Me? I’ll be thinking about Elisha Gray and what might have been if he just had some initiative.

I totally agree with your comments…but in addition to having a burning desire to make money online, most people need to know HOW to do that. Educating yourself and acquiring all the tools necessary is the ONLY way that will happen. Most people, including me, are paralyzed by the lack of what to do. Everyone needs a game plan and should check out all the opportunities being presented today in the online market. Make sure that you get something that gives you all of the information, education and tools that are necessary to be successful.

That was an awesome post on taking action to get started. It got me fired up just reading it. I have met so many who don’t try anything because they are afraid to start. Well, that is actually untrue, they are afraid to fail. They have become conditioned to think of failure as a negative, I think of it as a positive. You need to learn from each failure and then move on. If anyone is afraid to fail, they will not be able to start any type of business. The sad fact is that in our school systems, failure is such a huge negative that it paralyzes people for the rest of their lives.
People where I work are afraid of failure, so they live in total fear every day that they might make a mistake. Mistakes are human and needed to progress any system. Living a life dominated by fear is not living to me.
So, I say get rid of the fear, realize failures are learning experiences and push forward in pursuing happiness and dreams. Perfection is the enemy of progress, it will kill any system it permeates. Striving for perfection is a huge waste of time and does not bring progress that is sustainable. Perfection is the enemy of progress and the creator of fear.
None of our most important discoveries were made by people who were trying for perfection, they usually had a string of failures to deal with. They looked at failure as a good and necessary part of pushing forward, without being consumed by fear of failing over and over.. They pushed on and made discoveries that have changed the world!
I say to anyone, if you want your own business, get up off your butt and get moving. Talking about it does not ever make it happen. Imperfect action is what moves life, so your readers should get moving! The time will never be “perfect” to start a business. The time to start is now!
Thanks for dropping by my newest blog! You asked me the other day how I am. I think this post hits home. I’m stuck in the depths of indecision. I am a huge idea person. I just never know if I should take a leap of faith. Weird, because being a single mother was a huge leap of faith, but I did it anyway. So there really should be no stopping me (I can tell you the story if you like…or maybe it should be the topic of my next blog).
My other issue is finances. It’s hard to get some things started with low cashflow, so I have to make some very smart decisions. I just don’t know what’s smart. (who does?)
I will take this post into consideration and try to just do one thing, at least.

Don, I couldn’t agree with you more. It seems lazyness and fear paralyzes a lot of people when it comes to trying to make money online. Either that or they don’t see $1000 in Adsense earnings in a month, so they quit.

I agree about educating yourself too, but starting with at least one monetization source and then learning to implement others as you go will get you started in the right direction.
