How Bad do People Want to Make Money Online

The niche of making money online is without a doubt the most sought after niche in blogging. I have recently posted articles about making money. I have posted about creating a business. Whats the difference? I am glad you asked.

My post on Monday was about requiring initiative to make money online now. Someone really enjoyed it, Stumbled it and the momentum from that Stumble lasted until my server went down yesterday. Darn maybe that is what caused my server all the grief! Traffic for this site was at an all time high. Please don’t hear me wrong here, I am grateful.

My Featured Sites Blogroll has 12 sites listed, take a look. Guess which link is the number one outgoing link from that group? You get 3 guess and 2 don’t count. Suppose you took today, and focused on 3 things, Passion, Purpose and Principles

Purpose

I have but one purpose for this post folks. There is more than one way to make money online. Let’s go back to the Stumbled article for a moment. People clicked on that stumble for one reason. Money. Somewhere in the deepest recesses of peoples minds they search the internet for opportunities to make money. They stop at every site that mentions making money, almost like they are buying lotto tickets, hoping against all the odds of finding that winning combination. For most all that do this, they might as well book their spot on the biggest loser finale. It just doesn’t happen that way. When will people learn? They won’t, but you can. Today have purpose in your heart, mind and soul for what you want to accomplish in your home based business.

Passion

I would like to tell you what I love about my blog and my home based business. In a word, everything. Last night my site went down. I was not happy. Nothing quite like it as I have posted before. I worked with my host relentlessly until it was fixed. Believe me during my numerous phone calls they could sense I had passion.

Now let’s look at real business. Real business takes work. That’s the difference for most. People don’t want to work. Today I am going to sell an SBI subscription, I will make $75.00 maybe tomorrow, but I’m thinking today. Why is that? Because I have worked hard with this customer, developed his idea for him, supported his passion, they are offering a 2 for 1 special, and have all but closed the deal. I want to make money online and I will do just that by working for it.

Today I will offer out ad space on my site for similarly themed niches. I started this last week, and so far, I cannot complain. Today I will secure another domain name and start another site by the weekend. I will operate from my home. Today I will visit sites and make pertinent comments to post that interest and inspire me. The result will be a few unique visitors. Today I will outline posts for the next week. Today I will not watch TV or anything else that detracts from my purpose or doesn’t add to my home based business goals. Feel like you need to read the news or watch TV? Let me help you. Britney Spear’s sister is pregnant; Bill Parcells is back in football, and Vladimir Putin is Time’s Person of the Year. That should do you right?

Principles

I will not visit sites that promise me money beyond my wildest dreams for simply clicking on a button that promises wealth. Sounds like a slot machine doesn’t it? Today John Chow will have more visitors than Making Sales Making Money will have this month.

If John Chow would post about becoming an SBI Affiliate, many would follow. He won’t. That doesn’t fit his style or principles of business. It does not promise get rich quick. I will promote it. It does fit my style, and it sure as heck fits my principles. I am willing to work, are you? Today I will not lie to my readers. I will not promise them a rags to riches transformation by clicking a button. I will seek to build relationships with each one who contacts me and reach out to those who want to form an alliance either personally or in my home based business.

What do you want to accomplish today? I have 3 positions/links available in my Featured Sites, that I will give to the first 3 people who provide me with a list of their passion, purpose and principles for today. Your link will be on my site for 30 days Sounds easy right? Let’s see how many people want to work. People I am not John Chow and neither are you.

Besides,It’s better to be a first rate version of yourself,Than a second rate version of someone else. Judy Garland

You bring up some good points, Don. Some sites I visit, you read their about me, then look at their posts and they are all over the place, promoting the GRQ stuff.
My real passion is teaching, seeing the penny drop is worth so much. So I’ve started a series on WordPress and the reaction to it has been great so far.
My purpose is two-fold, in time I want to make money ;) , short-term is to provide support and form a network of people so that we can help each other get ahead.
My principles, to be as open as possible without being walked over, to promote only those things that I own and believe in. Transparency and honesty are the key ingredients to success.

First off, reading this kind of passionate writing what got me into blogging.

Passion: Sharing those awesome I things I find on the Internet

Purpose: I see my friends who may be tech savvy or not. But, they don’t have the time to see the best way to be productive or secure or just have plain fun on the Internet. I hope to help atleast a handful of people find those gems.

Principle: I will always be available to my reader and make them feel welcome in my blog. Without them, there would be no blog!

Thanks for asking and I would have shared this even without the Featured Sites offer! Stumbled!

I get your purpose, passion, and principles. You’re very clear on all three. Thanks for getting me to think about my three p’s.

I own a blog about Math, a dull subject for many, passion for me, especially sharing my love of Math with others. I quit a lucrative career to share my love of Math, to learn about Internet business, and to have a more fulfilling life. I am enrolled in Yaro Starak’s Blog Mastermind program to learn to effectively monetize my passion.

My Purpose: To make Math fun and accessible to large numbers of people.

My Passion: Teaching, learning, writing. Math explorations that stretch the mind and open the heart!

My Principles: Treat all readers kindly and with respect. Interject humor in my writing. Give tremendous value to my readers and ask for their trust, respect, and business. Freely share my love of Math and provide guidance and direction to all who want to improve their relationship with Math.

Passion: connecting with others at a significant level

Purpose: to benefit others by providing practical information on health; to benefit our societies by helping solve the health funding crisis.

Principles: (summarised into one) It’s about being authentic.

Don, thanks for the nice words about my blog! And another big thank you for adding ShanKri-la to your Featured Sites!!

Don, great article, makes us thinking of doing something with purpose instead of doing it without anything in mind.

My blog is in personal development, thinking of what you have mentioned,

Purpose: growing the leader in me and in my readers, leader deals to do with character, with attitude, with persistence and with the ability to grow and influence others.

Passion: my passion is in growing to become a better person, in writing and sharing what i have learned to my readers, turning our limitation into advantages.

    Principles:
    1. Keep ticking, growing takes step-by-step, small step counts, what you can do today counts.
    2. Declare our dream, when we can’t affirm that we’re there, we can start declaring that we’re in the journey of achieving our dream
    3. Learn from anyone, seek wisdom from anyone BUT our trust still in God, not leaning in my own understanding or human wisdom, but in God.

    Thanks to make me thinking.
    It’s really a great article.
