How many times can lightning strike in the same place? Well when is comes to my hosting of this site apparently over and over. This past Saturday night I was chatting with Monika on Skpe and posting an article about choosing partners for your home based business. As always I posted it on Blogging Zoom, but there was an interesting plug in I was looking at and tried to use my FTP client to experiment with it. I soon discovered my hosting had been merged with another account that I own with Blue Host. Initially I was confused, but the site was still operating so I e-mailed support, because their 24/7 support department had the weekend off for Easter.
I woke Easter morning to find my site acting up and quickly backed-up my data base. Then the site disappeared, poof , gone. I was a little more than concerned when my e-mails went un-answered for the better part of 24 hours. I finally reached them at 1 AM my time on Monday morning. Here is where it gets really fun. They have no idea how that happened, nor did they know where my database went. I talked with them on the phone for about 2 hours and gave up
I posted a comment actually aimed at Vic at Blogger Unleashed to see if he would let people know I was in hosting hell again. He replied, oh my goodness he replied. He instantly appeared on my Skpe window and asked what was going on. I told him and he eloquently told me what I should do with Blue Host. Oh what the heck, he said get the f%@K away from Blue Host. I told him I had a Host Gator Reseller Account and he asked for my database. I sent it over to him and he instructed me to set the name servers to Host Gator while he worked with it. About an hour later he was done and my site was back up and running a short time later. Ill have to upload some images and plug-ins, but my posts and comments are back home.
Folks I am going to tell you something. Vic takes a bunch of crap he doesn’t deserve. What he did for me wasn’t forced. I never asked him to do it. He just did. What he did, I could not have. What he did was help a blogger in need. Its not the first time, it wont be the last time. Vic has a heart of gold.

That’s awesome! I’m glad that there are good guys like Vic from Blogger Unleashed around. I see that he does get a lot of flak he doesn’t deserve. But then, most people who speak the truth get that sort of treatment. I just hope he keeps it up. Because we need it!
Awesome that Vic stepped in and sorted out your problem. As the saying goes, ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’.
I am glad that you are out of Blue Host. Their name “Blue” sounds no good at all.
I was on their server for only one week and finally got out of the hell. Although I am not 100% satisfied with my current ANHosting.com shared hosting, but I am OK with it for now.
I don’t agree with every F, B, S words Vic used in his video, but I agree that he is telling truth and made some good points.
I am glad to know Vic is also a good helper.
It is so good to see credit and appreciation going out to those that deserve it. Very inpsiring post.
