BANS And Being De-Indexed

A few days ago I was speaking with a friend about BANS. I told her I really needed to work on other sites, because you never know when BANS sites may disappear. Well as of yesterday around mid-day that happened, as many were de-indexed. I would love to take a optimistic approach on their return, but frankly I see the .info debacle all over again. Could this be a temporary thing? Maybe. Could they all come back? Maybe, but for now Ill  work on other things. If you have a straight up BANS site , be checking it , because your time may be near. If I told you this didn’t sting a little Id be lying, but frankly I do have other projects underway and have been working very hard on those for a couple of months.

Internet Marketing at any level is about adjustment, plain and simple. It happens to the big boys , (see Courtney Tuttle  ) and little guys aren’t exempt either. So until we have more information to go on its build and work other projects. If you cant adjust , change your style or develop other income streams , stick with your day job. Vic at Blogger Unleashed has said, I don’t know, maybe a thousand times, don’t depend on one vehicle or model to make your way. I would say the proof is in the pudding wouldn’t you?

Hi Don, there was a problem yesterday between Hostgator and the Epn. “The root cause appears to be related to changes in routing on
an external provider which affected the connection to the network of Epn.” Maybe that was the reason that your sites got de-indexed? What are your thoughts on the future of Bans? I just started with Bans but enjoying it very much ( it is like an obsession :) ) I already planned to get income elsewhere in the future, as insurance. Got good ideas for other income streams? I thought of ppc, adsense or maybe amazone affiliate?? Let me know, nice post!

I am still new at this game, all my income was coming from BANS. In my case it stings a lot, first the .infos now the .coms but that’s the way the game is and like you said we can’t say we haven’t been warned. On the bright side, we can now move on and explore other ways to mmo.

Robert, I was hoping you were right and indeed I lost a bunch of traffic and money as a result. but i have spoken with people who lost sites tat were not on Host Gator. As for the other methods you mentioned , yes ,but be really careful with PPC as you can lose bunches of money really fast if you dont know what you are doing

    Hey Don,

Have your BANS sites come back yet? Have you tried to add wordpress blogs to these bans sites?

I don’t get much traffic from Google, but I am doing ok with Yahoo and MSN.

I have been a big follower of Vic and I too jumped on the band wagon with the dot info domains. Unfortunately I got into the game a little late and the bulk of my income went down the tubes.

I do however earn a pittance from taking online surveys and I thought I finally had found a way to really start making good money online.

Back to the drawing board! :-(

That’s funny, my BANS dropped off a little but are still trickling in almost as much as they did before. And, some of them are .infos. Those ones never were good producers, but a couple of them still make more than $20 a month. Not bad for my tiny investment…

Do you know if this deindexing of BANS sites is still going on? I’m intrested but dont want to waste money on the software if they are all going to get deindexed.
    Thanks

Thanks for the info. I had 4 sites de-indexed and I thought I was crazy!

the BANS software itself creates a footprint. PHPBayPro seems unaffected by the recent de-indexing of bans sites. I have roughly 100 BANS sites that are still getting traffic.

Thanks for the info, I\’m thinking about getting into BANS sites. I heard PHPbay bring better result though.
